A Brief History.

We were formed in 2001 by experienced paranormal investigator, author and TV presenter David Scanlan and rapidly become one of the UK's leading investigation groups, A title we are proud to still have after 8 years of group investigations.

The Hampshire Ghost Club has also been featured highlighting our work numerous times in the media including Most Haunted, BBC Radio, Net Talk Radio, Power FM, ITV, Meridian, Portsmouth TV, Paranormal Magazine, Beyond Magazine, plus many others.

We are a friendly and dedicated group of individuals and we are always on the look out for new members to compliment our existing team

General : Watch out for ghostly activity!

Posted by Founder on 16-Jan-2005 10:54 (2679 reads)

I have recieved this news this morning from NASA.

Two coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are heading toward Earth and they could
spark strong geomagnetic storms when they arrive on January 16th-17th. Sky
watchers should be alert for auroras. The CMEs were blasted into space by
M8- and X2-class explosions above giant sunspot 720 on Jan. 15th.

Please let us know if your conducting any investigations today and what activity you get as we have noticed a general trend that when things like the above happen....activity increases!

Is Montague keen STILL carrying out his research from the other side?

Montague Keen’s House - Investigation 11-12-04

Montague keen was one the best known paranormal investigators of our time, and also one of our “greatest thinkers”. He undertook a massive amount of research and was a major player in the world famous SCOLE REPORT, and experienced what he believed to be very real “phenomena” when taking part in the David Thompson psychical mediumship experiment.

General : Tsunami Premonitions Save Lives

Posted by Founder on 05-Jan-2005 21:16 (2554 reads)

A premonition about floods led an Israeli couple living in an international community in southern India to build their house on stilts -- a move which saved them from the fury of the tsunami that tore through the region this week.

General : Psychic Predicts Gay Rumour for Schwarzanegger

Posted by Founder on 31-Dec-2004 19:11 (2374 reads)

Toronto-based psychic Anthony Carr predicts the "Governator" will be plagued by gay rumors after a California newspaper prints allegations of his indiscretions.

"Ah-nuld" isn't the only celebrity in for a rough year. Carr also predicts Martha Stewart will spend time in a mental institution for "acute paranoid schizophrenia" while Ben Affleck will balloon up to 300 pounds.

Carr also claims Matt LeBlanc will die a fiery death in a motorcycle crash and "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening will be convicted of murdering his gay lover, actor Kevin Spacey.

Some celebrities will have a better year. For instance, Carr predicts Oprah Winfrey is in a good position to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Carr releases other 2005 predictions in a new book, "Stargazer" (Hushion), including some that have already come true, such as Yasser Arafat's death and the recent tidal waves in Asia.

This article is from a paranormal news agency and is not connected to any member of the HGC.

I was reading some of the stuff about the shadow people here today, and I couldn't believe how much it resonated with what I'm going through.

A pub boss has called in ghostbusters after barmaids complained their bums were being pinched - by a randy poltergeist.

The phantom menace has been terrorising staff at the Castleview in Dundonald, Ayrshire, near the village's haunted castle.

Waitress Tiffany Luxton, 18, said: 'I won't even go to the toilet on my own because I'm scared he'll be there.

General : Empty cellar puzzle

Posted by mistyblue on 14-Dec-2004 11:03 (2738 reads)

Hi Guys!
Been reading the County Press yesterday about a break in at Appuldurcombe House. The wrought iron bars have been bent inwards to the cellar entered by someone using a step ladder.English Heritage had to take the gate away to be repaired, which could cost hundreds of pounds.
Mrs.Owen, the owner of the house described the break-in as 'weird' as the cellar was empty and had been for quite some time."The police are as mystified as we are.
It doesn't make sense to break into a cellar that has nothing in it.I can only think they thought there would be lots of booze in it- as there proberbly would of been in the 18th century."
What do you make of it?

General : A3 Haunting

Posted by Robxx on 09-Dec-2004 21:14 (7249 reads)

One of the most eerie of modern day hauntings occured two years ago on the A3 near Burpham Surrey. Just before Christmas 2002, police received calls from motorists who had seen a car suddenly veer off the road. On arrival, the police could find no sign of a crash. After a further search, however, they made a chilling discovery of a wrecked car buried deep in the undergrowth 20 yards away. The driver was a skeleton and had been there nearly five months.
Had the motorists who called the police witnessed a ghostly action replay of the original accident? like so many ghost stories, the truth may lay forever beyond our reach.

General : The Razor Blade Poltergeist

Posted by Founder on 06-Dec-2004 20:18 (1978 reads)

I have always believed that something exists beyond what we know to be "our" reality. All my life, I have experienced strange things but never actually "saw" a ghost or apparition, so although I believed, there was also a part of me that just wasn't sure either... that was until three years ago after my son committed suicide.
