We have visited and investigated numerous sites over the years including Portchester Castle, Levens Hall, Dudley Castle, Wymering Manor, Beaulieu Abbey, Netley Abbey, Michelham Priory, Ancient Ram Inn, Chingle Hall, and many more, there are some sites that we cannot name due to their ownership being in the hands of the Royal Navy and a member of the British Aristocracy.

The Hampshire Ghost Club has also been featured highlighting our work numerous times in the media including Most Haunted, BBC Radio, Net Talk Radio, Power FM, ITV, Meridian, Portsmouth TV, Paranormal Magazine, Beyond Magazine, plus many others.

General : Sweet Swarnlata

Posted by Founder on 08-Mar-2005 08:12 (2604 reads)

The story of Swarnlata is characteristic of Stevenson's cases: the young girl's memories began when she was 3, she gave enough information to enable Stevenson to locate the family of the deceased person she remembered (the case was "solved"), and she gave more than 50 specific facts that were verified. But Swarnlata's case was also different from most because her memories did not fade. And this is a sweet case, characterized by love and happy memories rather than by violent death and struggles between castes and families, like in so many other cases.

Sobbing Ghost
by Mike Quest

In 1975 I lived in a town in Texas called Conroe which is north of Houston. I used to go fishing north of Conroe in Sam Houston State Park just off I45 with my friend Kevin in his uncle's boat. We shoved off and located a nice spot where we dropped our lines in the water. After awhile, the peaceful silence was broken by the sound of a sobbing child. The sound was coming from the bank of the cove we were fishing in. The anguish in the child's voice was so terrible that Kevin's uncle decided we should try and help this person.

General : Ghost of a Torturer

My family and I recently came into some money, so we decided to take a trip to Europe and rent a room in a hotel. This was all in the summer. One night, I was in my room trying to watch TV, but there wasn't anything interesting on. Before I turned the TV off, I suddenly felt very uncomfortable and I noticed how very stuffy it was in the room and my throat was dry. I decided to go in the kitchen and get a drink.

I was filling a cup of water and I saw something small and round looking up at me. It looked like it had red eyes staring at me. I continued to look at it with a lot of curiosity while still filling my over-filled glass of water. I was about to grab it when my mom called and I turned to face her to tell her I was getting water, then I turned back and I saw something black fly at my face and I fell on the ground. I felt myself falling and I landed on hard stone. I suddenly felt extremely cold and drafty and I stood up.

I saw a short, fat, bald man coming up to me slowly with what looked like a fire stoker. When he was at about two feet from me, I suddenly felt my whole face drenched with cold water and my family standing above me. When I asked what happened, they said that I dropped the glass and I was screaming bloody murder for about a minute.

We left the hotel two days later and returned to my house, but before I left, I asked about the history of the land of the hotel it was on. He said it was torture ground for like the people who didn't follow the same religion.

General : Ghost Sighting Report from 1970

Posted by Founder on 20-Jan-2005 23:39 (2173 reads)

Special Constable Mark Davies, from Minera, near Wrexham, recounts his experience with the ghost of a policeman...

"I am a Special Constable at Wrexham. A few years ago, I was fuelling up the 'Rowdy' minibus at the petrol pump outside the police station. It was a clear summer evening.

I saw a reflection of a policeman in the side window of the van. He came and stood behind me with his arms folded. I couldn't see his face because of the angle, which meant he was a fair bit taller than me (I'm 6' tall). I watched him for 20 or 30 seconds, but he didn't move or speak, so I turned to tell him I was almost finished; there was no-one there.

The car park was deserted, and there was nowhere he could have gone to. A couple of months before this, a 6'5" traffic officer based at Wrexham had died in an on-duty motorcycle crash. "
