Title: Tales of Old Hampshire | views:240 | Tales of Old Hampshire is a fantastic little book, well illustrated and has good content, it mentions tales from such places as The Rufus Stone in the new forest, Bucklers Hard, Alton, etc and has listed well known stories such as Jack the Painter, Dame Alicia Lisle, and the story of how The Rufus Stone came to be.
It only cost around £6.95 and has great dipictions of the stories told and as Hampshire is full of history it would be a great book to add to the collection of its many ghost books. The book is written by Cecilia Millson if anyone wants to get hold of a copy

Title: The Devil came to St. Louis | views:198 | The Devil came to St. Louis
By Troy Taylor
I must be a very lucky person as virtually every paranormal book I pick up never fails to please and The Devil came to St. Louis by Troy Taylor is no exception.
The book details the case of the 1949 exorcism of a one ‘Robbie Doe’, the film The Exorcist is based around although details were changed to protect the identity of the family involved.
Never once does the author try to force you into believing the case and rather allows you to make your own judgements. The author examines the case in details and frequently calls upon a very mysterious book called simply “the exorcists diary” which was a book compiled about the case by the priests directly involved in the case.
The author looks to the rational as well and offers the suggestions that the ‘possession’ may have been a combination of tourettes syndrome, childhood schizophrenia and possibly a poltergeist.
The author get’s most of his information directly from a priest who was there...who saw what was going!
This is an excellent read and a must buy for anyone interested in what could be out there in the darker realms

Title: The Ghost Hunters - Who they are and what they do | views:189 | The Ghost Hunters – Who they are and what they do is a refreshing look into the paranormal world.
There are numerous books about Ghosts and haunted places but rarely does a book come along which is dedicated to the men and women themselves that have brought paranormal investigation into the forefront of modern research.
The book looks at the investigations and careers of eminent people such as Harry Price, T.C. Lethbridge, Elliot O’Donnell and many more people that have gone down in history for their forward thinking and analysis techniques.
There’s no ground breaking research on hauntings or complex theories about ghostly origins but that’s not what this book is about, its an enjoyable read looking at the people who made ghost hunting what it is today

Title: The Good Ghost Guide By John Brooks | views:205 | If your looking for a book that’s a nice easy, pick up, put down book with not too much historical detail and just the facts about a haunting then this is the book for you.
The Good Ghost Guide is a gazetteer of over a thousand British Hauntings, famous ones and ones that you would have never of heard of.
The book is written in very plain text with no techno babble making it a book that would appeal to anyone with just a passing interest in the paranormal.
A very enjoyable read, not too heavy but educational at the same time

Title: The Great Ghost Hunt By Jason Karl | views:197 | This book is fab. It is broken down into chapters as follows: THE EVIDENCE FOR GHOSTS- Detailing the 4 stages of ghost manifestation, Dissipation/materialization, cats & dogs. HAUNTERS. The 7 ghost categories, Phenomena profiles,Generic ghost groups. ie once sentient ghosts, inanimate ghosts, poltergeists, timeslip ghosts and elemental ghosts HOW TO CATCH A GHOST- Detailing the kind of kit you need both basic and for advanced ghost hunters! Investigation techniques. BRITAINS MOST HAUNTED PLACES- Including most haunted house, hall, Hotel, Inn, castle and village with map and details. FAVOURITE HAUNTS- Jasons fav haunts incl. Athelhampton Hall and The Ram Inn. PHANTOMS ON YOUR DOORSTEP To discover if a house is haunted FRACTURES IN TIME About timeslips SLEEPING WITH SPIRITS- A guide to places you can stay including phone No's. This book is fantastic it has everything you need to know in easy to understand text. It does mention Most Haunted a little but is mainly his knowledge on paper. I bought this from the mind body and spirit book club and then got another two, one for each of my sisters as they loved it. HIghly recommended. The only dissappointment was the final chapter. The guide listing haunted places you can stay in the uk are all hotels admittedly some are castle hotels but still hotels just the same. Jamaica Inn is in there and so is the Mermaid Inn so don't buy it just for an idea of where to go. The book is worth its weight in gold....we love it! And so far we can find no innaccuracies.
