Dictaphones are just the same as one another, apart from digital, I thought until I bought the Olympus J400 Pearlcorder Dictaphone.
I decided to take the risk and invest in yet another Dictaphone after my old one was not getting any really definite results, the tape mechanism sound was just too loud to detect anything of paranormal origin, but I thought what the hell and bought the Olympus one anyway.
Some Dictaphones you can get for around £20.00, forget it you do really get what you pay for. On the first time I used the Olympus Dictaphone I captured one of the best EVP’s I have ever heard. The machine was left running in a derelict locked room at Wymering Manor and on playback I have caught the voice of a man with a slight Irish accent saying “Turn about right” not unusual really as one of the ghosts that haunts the manor is an old Royal marines General.
I have since recorded with this machine in the past three months more EVP data than I have collected with my old machine in around two years.
So to conclude……Thumbs up for the Olympus Pearlcorder J400.
